The other three are days ashore, each a single day with its own hours, and the sun sets within six minutes of the same hour on all of them, so what separates them is not the light but the hour the yacht wants you back.

The day, piece by piece
The morning holds the hike and the chocolate both. Tet Paul is an hour and the Bean to Bar at Project Chocolat is an hour, and the two estates sit a short drive apart above Soufriere โ so it is one trip ashore, back for lunch at Bonte by a quarter to one. The afternoon is a fifty minute massage, which leaves an hour clear before the light. The four hour Piton hike is the only thing that will not fit alongside all of it โ take that and the chocolate comes off the day.
What each piece of the day actually is, in the order it happens. The same in both directions except the last two: the massage moves from the canopy into the bungalow, and the table on the sand only exists if the room does.

Tet Paul Nature Trail
The resort's own recommendation for the walk, and the reason is that it asks almost nothing of you. Twenty minutes from Soufriรจre, a graded path rather than a climb, and it opens onto both Pitons standing out of the water with the sea between them. On a clear day Martinique is visible to the north and St Vincent to the south. One hour guided, US$240 for the two of you, and a short drive from the cacao estate that follows it. The resort will also run a four hour Piton hike from eight at US$360, which is the serious version of the same morning and takes the chocolate out of it.

Project Chocolat is Hotel Chocolat's own working cacao estate at Rabot, a short drive above Soufriere on the same side of town as Tet Paul โ which is why the two sit together in one morning ashore. US$150 for the two of you. If the morning should be fuller, their Tree to Bar runs two to three hours and adds a walk through the cacao groves, grafting a tree, and a market lunch on the estate.

A fifty minute couples massage, side by side, at US$456 for the two of you. The only thing the two directions change is the room it happens in. In Direction 02 it is the spa itself: treehouse rooms on stilts in the canopy under Petit Piton, open on the forest side. In Direction 01 the therapists come down to the bungalow, which is the reason that room category matters โ two tables behind your own door, on the sand, with nothing to walk back from afterwards. That carries a US$144 in-room fee. Longer rituals, 110 to 180 minutes, are behind the options.

South Beach, directly between the Pitons
Anse des Pitons is the only stretch of sand on the island with both mountains standing out of the water on either side of it, and South Beach is the quiet end of that stretch. At 17:20 the sun is still above the horizon and the light runs up the bay from the west, so the two peaks turn from green to black while the water in front of you is still lit. You walk down onto the sand and the place does the work on its own. Sunset is 17:32 and the light holds a little past it. The resort plans it and holds the quiet end of the beach for the hour at US$600, and dresses nothing. Sugar Point, the deck out over the water, is US$500; the Sunset Deck on the ridge is US$800. The table on the sand
In Direction 01 the evening does not move indoors. The property lays a table on the beach once the light has gone, torches and lanterns set around it, the water a few metres away and nobody else on that stretch of sand. This is the part of the evening the room buys outright: without the bungalow, dinner becomes a seating in one of the restaurants instead, with the table nearest the water if they can hold it. Two on the US$175 menu plus the beachfront setup comes to US$618 all in โ US$420 for the dinner and US$198 for the beach it is served on.

Rainforest Spa or the bungalow ยท Wednesday 25 November 2026 ยท 14:30
Saint Lucia ยท The Rainforest Spa
One massage the resort has costed, and three longer rituals behind it.
The Rainforest Spa sits above the resort at the foot of Petit Piton, and its treatment rooms are treehouses on stilts with a stream running below them, open on the forest side. Couples rooms take two tables. That is Direction 02. In Direction 01 the therapists come down to the bungalow instead and set up behind your own door, on the sand โ which is the single clearest thing the room actually buys, because it means the afternoon ends where the evening starts rather than halfway up a hill. The fifty minute massage below is quoted for the 25th; the three longer rituals are the spa's own menu.
Either room works, and the resort has priced the difference. Taken at the spa the fifty minutes is US$456. Brought down to the bungalow it is US$600 โ the same massage plus a US$144 in-room fee. That is the clearest single thing the room buys: the afternoon ends where the evening starts.
The three rituals ยท for two ยท 25 November 2026

Couples Massage
Side by side on two tables with the spa's own couples oil โ orange, patchouli and ylang-ylang. No scrub and no facial, which is the point: at fifty minutes it leaves the afternoon alone. Couples Ultimate Rainforest Experience
A body scrub, then a cocoa butter massage, then a Glow Booster facial, taken together on two tables in the same room. The spa's own words for it are "enjoy a moment together", and it runs either 140 or 170 minutes. This is the one worth knowing about: we asked the resort whether a chocolate massage and a coffee scrub could be built into a sequence for two, and this treatment already is that sequence โ it did not need assembling. At 140 minutes it starts after lunch and still leaves half an hour to change before the light, but it takes the chocolate out of the morning ยท Menu rate

Rainforest Renewal
The spa's signature ritual and the longest of the three. A Tata Harper body peel to begin โ gentle but strong enough to bring the skin up โ then a massage, then a facial built to resurface and lift. Three hours is the thing to watch rather than the price: at 180 minutes it has to be on the table by 13:45, which means lunch moves earlier and the morning gives up either the hike or the chocolate. Coconut Bliss
The short one, and the gentlest. A natural coconut and spice scrub, then a coconut milk healing massage โ no facial, no peel, nothing that needs recovering from. At 110 minutes it is the one long ritual the day can still hold alongside the whole morning. It is also the only one the menu prices per person rather than for two, so US$650 is our arithmetic on their US$325. Per person on the menu

The fifty minute massage is quoted for the 25th with tax and service included. The three longer rituals are the spa's 2026 menu rates and would be quoted on booking; each is long enough to need the afternoon built around it rather than into it.
Dunia verdict
Take the fifty minutes. It is quoted, it is side by side, and it is the only version that leaves the hike, the chocolate and the hour before the light all standing. The long rituals are there if the afternoon should be the treatment rather than the day.
The moment ยท 17:20 ยท Saint Lucia
Three places to stand, and what it costs to have one of them to yourselves.
The resort has come back with names and prices for the places it will hold at 17:20. This is the one part of the day that is identical in both directions, and the fee is for privacy rather than for anything set up: nothing is dressed in either direction. Sugar Point and the Sunset Deck are the two the resort will close entirely; South Beach is open sand, so the fee buys the stretch of it nearest the pier rather than the beach as a whole. All three are optional โ Anse des Pitons is public shoreline under Saint Lucian law and you can simply walk down onto it. Sunset is 17:32 and the light holds a little past it, which is the only reason the three differ at all: two of them watch it leave the peaks, and one of them holds the sun itself.

The resort's own photograph shows it laid with candles and petals; that is the version we are not taking.

If you ever do want it dressed, this is the range. The resort sent its enhancements list with the venues: a rose bouquet from US$160, an LED sign at US$150, the lit Marry Me letters at US$550, cold sparklers at US$250 a pair, a flower arch at US$2,200 and a full candle and floral install at US$3,150. The room is what turns a day pass into a private day: the treatment happens behind your own door and dinner happens on the sand rather than in a dining room.
The room
Sugar Beach holds its beach, its spa and its restaurants for people staying there, so the day runs on a room taken for 25 November. You will not sleep in it. The resort holds four nights as a minimum in this period and has agreed to release the single night of the 25th for us. Two categories are worth putting in front of you, and they are a long way apart on price: the Luxury Beachfront Bungalow at US$4,358.80, which the resort calls the closest of all to the water, and the Luxury Cottage at US$1,666.63, which is the same access from up on the hillside. 550 square feet on the hillside above the beach rather than on it: a white timber cottage under a vaulted ceiling, a king four-poster, and a bathroom whose walk-in shower opens onto the greenery. What makes it worth showing is the deck โ a terrace with loungers and a plunge pool set into it, with the rainforest, the Pitons and the sea in the view. It is the room the resort has available for the single night of the 25th at a little over a third of the bungalow. What you give up is the sand: the resort is clear that the beachfront bungalow is the accommodation closest to the water, so from up here the beach is a shuttle ride rather than a step off the terrace.

It sits inside the St Barths marine reserve, faces west into open water, and empties completely once the day boats leave in the afternoon. This is the one we would recommend on this island.
We have someone on the ground. We have found a local organiser who can set and run the evening at Colombier. Her fee is still being quoted, and it covers her work only, not the boat, the setup or anything consumed. It is the same shape as the arrangement at Sugar Beach: a person who makes it happen, priced separately from the day itself.

Red roofs down to the water, the Swedish street names left from the islandโs time under Sweden, the fort on the headland above the anchorage, and the shopping street behind the quay. An hour or two, at your own pace, before the day moves west.

Walk in, boat out
Colombier is the one beach with no road, so it is either boat or feet. The coastal path from Anse des Flamands runs about 4.8 kilometres with roughly 100 metres of climb, graded moderate, and takes an hour to an hour and a half at a walking pace. It is the better arrival of the two. The boat then comes for the return, which matters, because after sunset the path is not something to be walking in the dark.

The natural pools
The Atlantic side of the island drops into rock, and at Grand Fond the rock holds pools that fill and empty with the swell. Fifteen to thirty minutes on foot each way, and the pools are shallow enough to sit in and watch the ocean break a few metres away. It is guided either way, so what there is to choose is the guide rather than the route.

Private surf lessons
The north swell season opens in the second half of November and runs to March, so 27 November sits at the front of the reliable window rather than outside it. Lorient is where a lesson happens: a forgiving peak straight off the beach, the island school on the sand, an hour with a state certified instructor and boards provided. It is priced by the hour rather than by the head โ from €120 for the hour, about €190 for two, and less each beyond that, with boards, kit and the instructor included and no wetsuit needed at this time of year. Those are the island's published rates; the operator itself is not chosen yet. Toiny is the other name on the island and a different proposition, a point break for people who already surf, so anyone with the water time behind them would go there with a guide rather than an instructor. Either way it has to finish in time for the 14:30 crossing to Colombier.

Private jet ski tour
Most of the island's coastline is cliff and cove that nothing on the yacht can reach, and a private tour runs the shoreline rather than circling a bay. It leaves from Gustavia, where the yacht already lies, so it costs no transfer at all. €160 a head, private rather than a group and the guide included โ the duration is the one thing still to confirm, and it is what decides whether this sits alongside the walk through town or replaces it. The best reviewed of the island operators takes the booking direct, by message rather than online, which is also what lets the hour move to suit the yacht. Back aboard in time for the 14:30 crossing to Colombier.

St Barth ยท The natural pools
One walk down to the pools, and two people who can take you.
The Atlantic side of the island drops into rock, and at Grand Fond the rock holds pools that fill and empty with the swell. Fifteen to thirty minutes on foot each way, over ground that asks for sure feet rather than fitness, and the pools at the end are shallow enough to sit in and watch the ocean break a few metres away. Both guides below walk it, so the only thing to choose is what you want the morning to be.
These two are alternatives, not additions. They walk the same ground with different temperaments: Carole Pernelle runs it as a guided walk with the swimming and the caves, Diana Bourel builds an itinerary around the party with breath and attention worked into it. Either has to be back aboard in time for the 14:30 crossing to Colombier.

The evening at Colombier
From the yacht ยท About 20 min by tender from Gustavia, or 1h15 on the coastal path
A wide crescent of pale sand under dry green hills, with pelicans working the water and nothing built on it. Because no road reaches it, the only people there are the ones who came by sea or walked in, and by late afternoon that is almost nobody. The beach faces west, so the sun goes down straight in front of you rather than behind a headland. There are two ways in and they are worth choosing between. The tender runs from Gustavia in about twenty minutes. The coastal path from Anse des Flamands covers about 4.8 kilometres with roughly a hundred metres of climb, graded moderate, and takes an hour to an hour and a half at a walking pace, coming in over the headland with the crescent opening below you. Whichever way you arrive, the boat takes you off. The path is not something to be walking once the light has gone.

Here nobody can tell you no, because nobody owns the view.
Grenada is the one island where we have left the hotels alone. Three settings, none of them owned by a property that has to say yes first: a ridge above both coasts, a chain of waterfalls in the rainforest, and the two mile beach on the west coast that faces the sunset.
Fifteen hours ashore, and three settings inside them. The yacht anchors in Prickly Bay on the south coast from 08:00 until 23:00. Grand Anse is under ten minutes by road, the two rainforest settings about forty minutes. Sunset falls at 17:38, and Grand Anse is the only one of the three that can hold it.

Island 01 ยท The Grenadines
You get the best water of the voyage, and an island closed for the two of you.
The Tobago Cays sit inside Horseshoe Reef in the southern Grenadines: five uninhabited islands, white sand shelving into a turquoise lagoon, green turtles in a marked zone off Baradal, and no buildings, no power and no infrastructure whatsoever. It is the best water of the whole voyage, and the one call where the day itself is the experience: snorkelling on the reef and with the turtles, and island hopping across the cays aboard the Shaka, a 33ft speedboat taken privately with captain and crew. Then Jamesby is taken for the two of you alone.
Everything else about this call is the easiest of the four. Mayreau to Jamesby is two and a half nautical miles, the lagoon is flat, and there is no property to ask and nobody on the cay. Nothing needs to be held past the yachtโs own hours. The sunset is not visible from the cay in any case, so you leave at 16:45, and the sun goes down at 17:36 while you are back on the water with the lagoon behind you.

Horseshoe Reef takes four kilometres of Atlantic swell before it reaches the islands, so the lagoon inside it stays flat and clear. Off Baradal there is a marked zone where green turtles graze the seagrass in water shallow enough to watch them from the surface. Masks, fins and snorkels come aboard with the boat, so there is nothing to hire and nothing to carry. The one thing we need from you in advance is a shoe size for each of you, so the fins are the right ones on the day.

The yacht decides more than the setting does. Each island gets one call, on one date, with its own hours ashore, and that is what decides how much of the day you get and when you have to be back. The moment is Sugar Beach at 17:20; the clock rows are what separate the rest.

If the picture matters most
Saint Lucia
Both Piton settings put the two mountains in every frame, and the 25th is the longest window ashore of the voyage. It is the day with the most room in it and the least explaining afterwards.
If being alone matters most
Anse de Colombier
No road reaches the beach, the day boats leave in the afternoon, and the sun goes down over open water at 17:33 with light holding to 17:57. The one setting that is both empty and at dusk.
If the water matters most
Jamesby
The most beautiful water of the four islands, and nobody on the cay at all. It is also the only call that closes before the sun goes down, so the question happens in full afternoon light.
Set aside
Considered for you, and why we left them out.
Rock Maison, Cap MaisonSet aside
A deck built on a rock in the open sea, ten minutes from Rodney Bay. Beautiful, and heavily photographed. It lost its main advantage when the yacht times came back: she leaves Rodney Bay at 15:00, so the evening would end with an hour back to Marigot Bay by road.
Anse l'IvrogneSet aside
A deserted cove under Gros Piton, the most private setting we found on Saint Lucia. The whole bay is a designated priority fishing area inside the marine park, so it cannot be reserved and seine netting happens at dusk. The one option where something outside our control can arrive mid moment.
Petit TabacSubstituted
The Pirates of the Caribbean cay, outside Horseshoe Reef and quieter than the rest of the park. Replaced by Jamesby, which sits inside the reef with a short climb and a sheltered landing, and suits a half day ashore better than the open crossing.
Diamond FallsDaytime only
A 15 m fall over a mineral stained rock face that changes colour, unique on the island and privately owned. Bathing is not permitted and the light goes in the gorge by 16:30, so it works as a daytime element rather than the moment itself.
Saint-Pierre, MartiniqueThe day after
Thursday the 26th, fifteen minutes from Habitation Ceron and its 350 year old zamana tree. Better used for the celebration after the question than for the question itself, and it sits directly after Saint Lucia.
Prickly Bay and Gustavia townFallback
Both calls run late enough to hold a wet weather alternative close to the yacht. Neither is a setting we would choose, but each keeps the evening alive if the sea or the sky closes the first choice on the day.
